Breast Feeding
Let’s work together to help you reach YOUR breastfeeding goals. Whether it’s learning to latch, choosing the correct flange size, helping your baby to gain weight, or transitioning to breast after a NICU stay. As an Occupational Therapist who is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I utilize a whole body approach to breastfeeding.
Bottle Feeding
Does feeding give you anxiety because your baby struggles to eat? Do they fall asleep, cough, choke, have reflux, take forever to finish eating, or have trouble gaining weight? Is your baby a preemie? Do you need help choosing the right bottle?
I specialize in infant feeding and have 10+ years of experience in helping both healthy term infants and preemies learn how to eat safely and successfully. Including MY own preemie baby! 🤍
Assessing for lip and tongue ties involves more than just looking under or sticking out your tongue. At Nurture Development & Lactation, LLC we are specialty trained in tethered oral tissues and utilize a whole body approach to asses and prepare for lip and tongue tie release. By following a protocol that focuses on optimizing feeding at breast and bottle, strengthening & lengthening through body work, and providing pre & post frenectomy education/therapy, we help you determine if your infants feeding difficulties are truly due to tethered oral tissues. This also helps us to ensure that if a release is necessary, you and you baby are prepared and already engaging in pre work to promote optimal release, healing and post release oral function. Because fixing anatomy doesn’t fix the problem, evidence based neuromuscular reeducation does, and this is where we shine!

As a neonatal and pediatric occupational therapist, development is my specialty. I utilize many different approaches to include cranial sacral therapy, myofacial release, total motion release, strengthening, therapeutic tummy time, and developmental play to help your little one release tension to achieve body symmetry, and reach their milestones!

We specialize in feeding and swallowing and help your little one to learn the skills they need to feed safely.
We utilize a responsive and child led approach to create positive feeding and oral experiences for long term skill development.

Bringing home baby for the first time can be scary, but knowing you have your little one bucked up correctly can make the drive home a little less stressful.
As an national certified passenger safety technician, I can help you to be sure your car seat is the safest choice for your child from birth to 8+ years!
